Welcome to HDF4-to-HDF5 NOAA SDS Project
HDF4-to-HDF5 NOAA SDS Project enables the HDF4-to-HDF5 utility
from H4H5TOOLS.
to convert HDF-EOS2 files into NetCDF4-compliant HDF5 files. This
enhancement is included in H4H5TOOLS 2.0.
With this enhancement, HDF4-to-HDF5 utility recognizes HDF-EOS2
dimensions, fields and attributes and handles them in semantically
correct manner.
This enhancement requires HDF-EOS2 library as well as HDF4 library and
HDF5 library. To enable this enhancement, H4H5TOOLS needs to be
configured with --with-hdfeos2 option. After building
HDF4-to-HDF5 utility, you can turn on this enhancement by specifying
-eos and -nc4strict or -nc4.
